Bhopal. Another big good news has come for wildlife lovers from Kuno National Park. Here female cheetah Nirva has given birth to five healthy cubs. With this new increase, the total number of cheetahs in the park has now increased to 29, which is considered an important achievement towards the cheetah rehabilitation scheme in India.
The successful breeding of cheetahs brought from African countries in the natural environment under the Cheetah Project in Kuno National Park is being described as the result of hard work of the forest department and experts. Recently, two cheetahs from Kuno were shifted to Gandhisagar Sanctuary in Mandsaur, due to which the number of cheetahs in the park was reduced to 24. But now with the arrival of five cubs of Nirva, this figure has again reached 29.
The health of these cubs is fine and a special medical team is constantly monitoring them. It has been told that all these newborns are completely healthy and special care is being taken for them.
