US-Iran Deal: Strait of Hormuz to Open, US to Lift Blockade, No Tolls for Ships

Washington. An agreement on peace has been reached between the US and Iran. President Donald Trump announced the development. Along with this, Trump declared that the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz would be fully opened to commercial vessels from around the world and that the blockade imposed by the US Navy would be lifted. Announcing the deal on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. I congratulate everyone!”

The US President stated, “With this deal, I authorize the opening of the Strait of Hormuz without any hindrance and the immediate lifting of the US Navy blockade. Ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil supply begin!”

Deal to be signed next week: Trump
In another post, Trump mentioned that the peace agreement between the two nations would be signed next Friday. He wrote, “This magnificent deal will bring peace and security to the entire region. Many presidents have tried to make peace with Iran, and all before me failed. For the first time, leaders in the region have a president who can help them achieve true peace. Once the deal is signed on Friday, the opening of the Strait and the removal of landmines will allow oil supplies to resume for the region and the world!”

However, Iran has not yet issued an official statement regarding this peace agreement. Iran’s news agency ‘Fars’ reports that an official statement concerning the ceasefire agreement with the US will soon be issued by the Supreme National Security Council. Meanwhile, Dr. Gharibabadi, the Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, confirmed that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Iran and the US has been finalized and will be officially signed in Switzerland on Friday. He emphasized that this agreement is grounded in active distrust of the adversary. He also stated that all key issues of importance to Iran have been incorporated into the draft MoU.

‘Israel Must Withdraw from Lebanon’
Earlier, he announced that the blockade imposed by the US Navy would begin to be lifted starting tonight. Concurrently, military operations across several fronts, including Lebanon, would cease immediately and permanently. According to the Deputy Foreign Minister—whose country was preparing retaliatory measures in response to Israeli strikes on southern Beirut—a primary condition set by Iran was that Israel must completely withdraw from southern Lebanon under any circumstances. Meanwhile, Iran’s top military command proudly declared that the country had forced the US to yield.
