“We will not allow the Babri Masjid to be built anywhere in the country; if the foundation is laid, we will uproot it” – Sangeet Som

March 02, 2026

Meerut: Former BJP MLA Sangeet Som, speaking from the stage of a Holi gathering in Meerut, sharply criticized the Babri Masjid and the international situation. He stated unequivocally that the stigma of the Babri Masjid will not be tolerated again in the country. Referring to the Israel-Iran war, Sangeet Som taunted the death of Ali Khamenei, saying that those who could not protect their “Supreme Leader” are now talking about building the Babri Masjid in India. He urged supporters to pledge that if a foundation is laid anywhere in the name of Babri, it will be uprooted.

  • Not even a single brick in the name of Babri will be tolerated
Sangeet Som took a firm stand on the Babri Masjid issue, stating that the Sanatani community has waited for Lord Ram’s temple for 500 years and has suffered the stigma of Babri. He warned that no mosque will be allowed to be built in the country in the name of invaders. Som stated that not a single brick can be laid in this country in the name of Babur. He vowed that if such an attempt is made, every brick will be razed to the ground, and every Sanatani will oppose it.

    Reaction to Khamenei
Speaking to the media, Som referred to the Israel-Iran conflict and took a dig at the Muslim community. He said that Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei was assassinated in his home, but the so-called leaders have remained silent. He alleged that the attempt to turn the world into a Muslim world has been countered, and those who cannot protect themselves are raising religious issues in India.
