
New Delhi. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Delhi BJP’s first president, Professor Vijay Kumar Malhotra, passed away suddenly this morning at the age of 94. Malhotra was undergoing treatment at AIIMS in Delhi and breathed his last at around 6 a.m. today.
Delhi State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, giving this information, said that Professor Malhotra’s life was dedicated to simplicity and public service. He worked extensively to spread the RSS ideology in Delhi since the time of the Jan Sangh. His life has always been and will continue to be an inspiration to all BJP workers.
According to a statement issued by Delhi State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Professor Vijay Kumar Malhotra’s life was an example of simplicity and dedication to public service. He dedicated his life to serving the people. He passed away this morning.
Strengthened the BJP in Delhi
Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra worked extensively to expand the RSS ideology in Delhi since the Jan Sangh era. His efforts helped strengthen the party in Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a social media post, “Vijay Kumar Malhotra ji was a brilliant leader with a deep understanding of public issues. He played a key role in strengthening our party in Delhi. He is also remembered for his intervention in parliamentary matters. I am saddened by his demise. My condolences to his family and fans.”
Additionally, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote in a social media post, “The passing away of senior Bharatiya Janata Party member Vijay Kumar Malhotra ji is deeply saddening. My humble tributes to him. My condolences are with the bereaved family. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense grief.”
