New Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has once again targeted neighboring Pakistan. Praising India’s economic stability and projected growth, he said that India’s future is secure. Regarding Pakistan’s future, he said, “Only God knows what will happen to that country; no one can predict it.”

At the launch of former Minister of State for External Affairs M.J. Akbar’s new book, the Defense Minister said that India is on track to become one of the world’s largest economies. He said, “Currently, India is the world’s fourth largest economy. India is poised to become the third largest by 2030. According to the IMF’s average growth rate, India is on track to become the world’s second largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP) by 2038.”

  • Comparing India to other South Asian countries, Rajnath Singh highlighted the differences between India and other countries. He said, “If you look at some South Asian countries, you will realize how stable India is.”

The Defense Minister cited M.J. Akbar’s analysis of Pakistan, saying that he had described Pakistan as a “jelly state.” A jelly state refers to a country that is constantly unstable but still does not collapse.

Singh said, “Given Pakistan’s current situation, only God knows what its future holds. I do not want to talk about the future.”

It should be noted that Akbar first used the term “jelly state” in his book, “Tinder Box: The Past and Future of Pakistan,” where he described Pakistan as a toxic jelly state, a nation that neither stabilizes nor collapses, bound by international support and its nuclear arsenal.
