Husband and Wife Become Suicide Bombers for Balochistan’s Freedom… BLA Releases Picture

New Delhi: From Friday night through the entire weekend, attacks by Baloch insurgents have shaken Pakistan. At least 17 security personnel and 50 civilians were killed in attacks targeting security forces, police, and civilian infrastructure in 12 different areas of Balochistan. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which is demanding independence for Balochistan, has claimed responsibility for these attacks and has also released pictures of several of its suicide bombers. Several women were among the suicide bombers who carried out the attacks over the weekend.

Now, the BLA has released a picture of two suicide bombers from its Majeed Brigade. The two suicide bombers are reportedly a husband and wife. The picture shows the BLA female suicide bomber Yasmin Baloch alias Zarina and her husband Waseem Baloch on the front lines. This picture is said to be related to the Pasni attack.

Yasmin Baloch was born in 1997 and joined the BLA in 2022. Her husband, Waseem Baloch, was born in 1992. Waseem joined the BLA in 2014. Both are said to be residents of the Alandur area of ​​Buleda. The BLA statement said, “They shared a married life together before taking their final stand.”

Earlier, the BLA had also released pictures of two of its female suicide bombers. One of them was identified as 24-year-old Asifa Mengal. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also acknowledged that female insurgents were involved in two of these attacks.

According to the BLA statement, Asifa Mengal joined the BLA’s Majeed Brigade on her 21st birthday. The organization claims that she decided to become a suicide bomber in January 2024 and that she was the attacker who targeted the ISI headquarters in Nushki on Saturday.

Shortly afterward, a video of a female BLA fighter went viral on social media. In the video, she is seen cautiously approaching a building belonging to the Pakistani security forces and then firing several rounds. The heavily armed woman, laughing with her male comrades, mocks the Pakistani government and claims that the government is incapable of confronting the BLA.
