MP: Porn addiction so severe that the husband himself made his wife’s private video viral

Rewa. A shocking case has come to light from Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh (MP). Police have arrested the husband for allegedly making his wife’s private video viral. Given the seriousness of the case, the accused has been sent to jail in judicial custody. City Superintendent of Police Rajiv Pathak stated that strict legal action is being taken against the accused. According to information, the victim was married to Shivam Sahu on May 10, 2025. It is alleged that the husband had been harassing her for dowry ever since their marriage.

The victim’s family claims that approximately ₹3 lakh was demanded at the time of the marriage. ₹2 lakh was paid, but pressure was constantly being exerted for the remaining amount. According to the victim, in December 2025, the accused recorded a private video of her and sent it to social media and relatives. When the woman protested, the accused allegedly threatened to defame her.

Police investigations have also revealed that the accused was addicted to viewing objectionable content on the internet. After the video went viral, he was hiding in Mumbai. It was reported that on February 12th, he arrived at his in-laws’ house in the Mauganj area with a weapon and began threatening the family. Upon receiving information, police surrounded the area and arrested the accused.

Police have registered a case against the accused under various sections, including dowry harassment, threats, and making a private video viral. Officials say that given the sensitivity of the case, the investigation is being conducted expeditiously and the victim is being provided legal protection.
