Khanna vs. Musk: Why the World’s Richest Man Is Calling the Indian-Origin Congressman a ‘Robber’

New Delhi: A war of words has erupted on social media between Elon Musk and Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna. The dispute centers on the US Department of Government Efficiency, the wealth tax, and proposed budget cuts to USAID. Tensions escalated recently after Khanna criticized Musk’s role in DOGE.

Speaking on the ‘I Have Had It’ podcast, Ro Khanna leveled serious allegations against Elon Musk, stating that Musk must answer for the consequences of the budget cuts.

Khanna said, “I believe that once we come to power, accountability must be established. Elon Musk must be held accountable. He celebrates creating 4,400 millionaires, yet he fails to mention the 4.5 million children worldwide whom he has effectively condemned to death by dismantling USAID.”

Khanna added, “He has to answer for this. He should be summoned. He must face an investigation. He needs to answer for what he has done with DOGE.”

Musk Hits Back: Calls Him ‘Ro the Robber’
Elon Musk retaliated against Ro Khanna’s allegations on the social media platform X, labeling him “Ro the Robber.” Musk also expressed agreement with a post on X that called for Khanna’s arrest.

Musk Defends ‘DOGE’
Elon Musk categorically rejected the allegations regarding USAID cuts. Dismissing Khanna’s claims as false, he wrote, “Absolutely. That is a complete lie. All DOGE did was contact aid recipients to verify that funds were being utilized correctly. Doing anything less than that would be insane!” Several individuals associated with USAID have been accused by the Department of Justice of stealing funds; furthermore, they have admitted to the offense.

Khanna Challenges Musk to a Live Debate
Ro Khanna has issued an open challenge to Elon Musk for a live televised debate. In an interview with CNBC, Khanna said, “I challenge him to a debate. Let’s do it on CNN, CNBC, or at a university. He can choose the venue, and let’s debate what happened with DOGE and why I support a wealth tax.” Khanna added, “If he believes in free speech and open expression regarding these issues, then we can discuss these ideas.”
