Noida: The spate of fire incidents continues in the National Capital Region. A fire broke out on Monday morning in a high-rise society in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Upon receiving the alert, multiple fire tenders rushed to the scene and brought the raging flames under control.
There were no casualties reported in the incident, which occurred at a society in Noida’s Sector 119. According to reports, smoke was seen rising from a tower at the ‘Aranya Society’ in Sector 119 on Monday morning. It quickly escalated into a blazing fire. Locals immediately alerted the fire department and attempted to contain the fire themselves.
The flames soon spread to an adjacent flat. Residents urged others in the vicinity to evacuate their flats. Six fire tenders arrived at the scene and, after a strenuous effort, managed to bring the massive fire under control. Since the fire had broken out on the 22nd floor, firefighting operations were particularly challenging.
Noida’s Chief Fire Officer personally arrived at the site, and police personnel were also present. An AC blast is suspected to be the cause of the incident; it is reported that an air conditioner installed on the balcony of a 22nd-floor flat exploded, and the resulting fire subsequently engulfed a neighboring flat.
