“Where there is logic and facts, there is no need for a storm”: PM Modi

July 20, 2026

New Delhi: Ahead of the Parliament’s Monsoon Session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that this session is historic. The government intends to introduce several key bills during this session. The PM also appealed to opposition parties to adopt a constructive attitude and ensure the smooth functioning of the House proceedings.

Addressing the media, the PM said, “Be it the monsoon itself or the Monsoon Session—if both are proactive, they become highly productive. And when both are productive, it leads to the welfare of the nation and the well-being of all living beings. Therefore, we pray that the monsoon remains proactive and the Monsoon Session remains productive.”

  • ‘The nation has achieved numerous milestones’
The PM noted that the country has achieved many milestones over the past month—a series of accomplishments that fill every citizen with pride. Whether on the national or international stage—and now even in space—these have been moments of pride for India. We can now speak about the space sector as well. Just before last year’s Monsoon Session, an Indian citizen was aboard the International Space Station. Two days ago, a start-up led by India’s youth achieved a major feat—something very few nations have managed to accomplish so far.

The PM further remarked that this is not merely a coincidence but a powerful message: the potential and aspirations of our country’s youth are as boundless as space itself. They have instilled self-confidence among Indians and enhanced India’s prestige globally. This sends a message that the capabilities and ambitions of our youth are limitless, much like space.

    ‘No need for an uproar’
“I believe that where there is logic and facts, there is no need for an uproar. If your arguments and facts are sound, there is no need to raise your voice. I hope that discussions in Parliament will be based on logic and facts. Every voice should get a chance to be heard; that is the very role of Parliament.”

In his address, the PM said, “Recently, a massive oil refinery was dedicated to the nation in Rajasthan. A few weeks ago, the country’s third semiconductor plant was dedicated to the nation. Just a few days ago, a train powered by green hydrogen was dedicated to the nation. Very few countries in the world possess this facility, but the hydrogen train that India has dedicated to its citizens features the most powerful engine and is the longest of its kind.”
