New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal got a big blow and Bhagwant Mann has also felt it slowly. After the earthquake in Delhi, questions were being raised on the chair of the Chief Minister of Punjab, but after the meeting of Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal, who had come to Delhi with the MLAs of Punjab, the latest storm has calmed down for the time being.
The danger has definitely been averted, but for how many days? For how long? For how long will the Aam Aadmi Party celebrate its well-being in Punjab? After the Delhi meeting, Bhagwant Mann has definitely talked about the Punjab model, but when the Delhi model has failed, what does anyone else’s words matter now? Just like after Delhi, BJP is trying to finish off Arvind Kejriwal in Punjab, in the same way Congress also wants to completely wipe out the Aam Aadmi Party.
Kejriwal alone is facing two enemies
Congress and BJP may seem to be standing at two poles of Indian politics, but in the Delhi elections, both have benefited each other in their own interest – and forget about the side effects, the direct loss has been suffered by Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party. The enemy’s enemy is a friend formula applies not only to Congress and BJP, but also to Aam Aadmi Party, and this politics is also understandable from time to time.
If we remember the 2022 Punjab election campaign, we see that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi used to target Arvind Kejriwal in the same way. Kumar Vishwas’ statement was for BJP, but in Rahul Gandhi’s speeches too, questions were raised about Arvind Kejriwal’s relationship with terrorists.
BJP benefited from Arvind Kejriwal’s Ramlila movement in ousting Congress from power at the center, and Aam Aadmi Party has been making its place by cutting Congress. Arvind Kejriwal was playing his own game, but Congress attacked from the BJP side, and the ‘game’ was over in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal has sensed the political situation and upcoming difficulties in Delhi as well as Punjab in time, and has also become active. He has called Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann along with MLAs to Delhi and has also given them the mantra of survival. Although this has been revealed superficially, the inside news is yet to come. No one is able to digest the fact that after covering a long distance from Punjab to Delhi, everyone was sent back within an hour.
In Punjab, BJP has been doing politics with the help of Akali Dal, but during the farmers’ movement, the Badal family left the NDA on the issue of agricultural laws. At that time, Akali Dal’s Harsimrat Kaur used to be a minister at the Center. In the Punjab assembly elections, BJP did try Congress rebel Captain Amarinder, but it did not yield any benefit. Like Delhi, BJP does not have a strong base in Punjab, so BJP also needs a Bhagwant Mann like Arvind Kejriwal. It should be believed that if given a chance, BJP will not shy away from ‘Operation Lotus’ – provided, Bhagwant Mann himself agrees to BJP, or someone from Aam Aadmi Party becomes Scindia, Himanta or Shinde and joins BJP.
As far as Congress is concerned, it is facing the same challenge in Punjab as it is in other states. Congress’s problem in Punjab is the same as in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Internal factionalism is becoming a big problem, and Rahul Gandhi has no political solution. The Punjab crisis deepened to such an extent that Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mallikarjun Kharge could not find a solution even by working together, and handed over the power on a platter to Aam Aadmi Party.
Swati Maliwal has become a different problem for Arvind Kejriwal. After Delhi, she has now started a campaign for Punjab. Sharing a video made by someone else, Swati Maliwal wrote on social site X, ‘This is a video of Zirakpur in Punjab, sand is being stolen from the river in the name of de-silting openly… Arvind Kejriwal ji had said, I will save ₹20,000 crores by stopping sand theft… Today the situation in Punjab is such that there is no money even to pay salaries to the employees… Where did these ₹20,000 crores go?
A user wrote on Swati Maliwal’s post, ‘After Delhi, Punjab, means the revenge is endless.’
