It’s worth noting that the Indian team won the Asia Cup 2025, but has not yet received the trophy. The Indian team had refused to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council chief Mohsin Naqvi. After this, Naqvi fled with the trophy. The Asia Cup trophy remains in the ACC office and has not yet arrived in India.

Suryakumar Yadav smiled and said, “It feels great to finally touch the trophy. When I was handed the series win trophy, I felt it in my hands. A few days ago, another trophy arrived in India. Our women’s team won the Cricket World Cup. That trophy has returned home. Now, it feels great to hold this trophy as well.”

BCCI Secretary Provides Update
Meanwhile, Board of Control for Cricket in India Secretary Devajit Saikia has provided an update on the Asia Cup trophy dispute. Saikia stated that BCCI officials have had positive discussions with Mohsin Naqvi to resolve the Asia Cup trophy dispute. Saikia said, “Both boards have held discussions in a good atmosphere and hope that a resolution will be reached soon.”

Rain prevented play in the Gabba T20 match between India and Australia, with only 4.5 overs remaining, allowing Team India to score 52 runs without loss. This series was crucial for the T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in February-March next year. The Indian team’s next T20 series is against South Africa, a five-match series that begins on December 9th.
