New Delhi: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda held a high-level meeting with senior officials of his ministry on Friday. During this, he reviewed the medical arrangements. JP Nadda was also informed about the operational status of all hospitals and health facilities in India. Which includes information about the availability of essential medicines and medical supplies, adequate infrastructure and fire safety measures.
The Health Minister was also apprised of the deployment of ambulances, ensuring adequate availability of medical supplies including equipment, medicines, blood vials and consumables, hospital preparedness in terms of beds, ICU and HDU, deployment of Bhishma Cubes, Advanced Mobile Trauma Care Units etc.
In the meeting, hospitals and medical institutions have been advised to ensure adequate supply of essential medicines, blood, oxygen, trauma care kits etc. Also, coordination with the district administration, armed forces and regional associations of doctors, nurses, paramedics, private sector hospitals, charitable institutions, etc. has been advised to strengthen the emergency response network in a collaborative manner.
JP Nadda also directed that the 24×7 Control and Command Centre in the Ministry should monitor the ongoing efforts and provide assistance to the states. The Union Health Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and is committed to ensuring seamless health services and emergency response in all areas.
The Union Health Secretary informed about his meetings with the States, Union Territories and Central Government hospitals and healthcare institutions for seamless coordination with the concerned stakeholders within the Centre and the States to ensure effective response. The Union Health Minister has directed to ensure that all medical emergency response health systems are adequately equipped and functional at all times.
