New Delhi: The ongoing conflict between Iran and the US now appears to be having a direct impact on India. Early this morning, Indians received a major shock. Specifically, the prices of petrol and diesel have gone up. Both petrol and diesel prices have seen an increase of ₹3 per liter.
In Delhi, petrol is now priced at ₹97.77 per liter, while the price of diesel has reached ₹99.67 per liter. This marks the first time since the onset of the Middle East conflict that petrol and diesel prices have risen in India. It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently appealed to the nation’s citizens to conserve fuel. He emphasized the importance of working from home and minimizing the use of private vehicles. Since then, there had been indications that petrol and diesel prices might be headed for a hike.
