New Delhi. Even before the results of the Delhi Assembly Election, Congress has once again come under the target of its allies in the opposition India Block. Two important allies SP and Trinamool Congress have demanded to let some other ally lead the alliance instead of Congress for better prospects.
Senior SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav accused the Congress of speaking the language of the BJP and also held it responsible for the continuation of the Modi government at the Center. Trinamool MP Kirti Azad said that now there is a need to seriously consider whether the leadership of the India Block should remain with the Congress or not. All the allies of the alliance will have to think about this. Congress is becoming the main weakness in defeating the BJP.
Congress has become arrogant
On the other hand, senior SP leader Yadav said that Congress is speaking the language of BJP, it has become arrogant. Arrogance is leading it towards destruction. The reason for the alliance’s better performance in Uttar Pradesh was that SP gave some candidates to Congress. Congress is neither respecting its allies nor following the alliance dharma. In such a situation, the alliance leadership should be changed once.
Delhi elections increased the tussle
In Delhi elections, Congress and AAP could not form an alliance like in the Lok Sabha elections. Both the parties made serious allegations against each other. Especially the attack on each other by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and former Delhi CM Kejriwal remained in the news. During this time, SP and TMC stood with AAP. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had expressed her desire to lead the alliance. She got the support of SP, RJD, NCP (S), Shiv Sena UBT.
