Putin taught Donald Trump the etiquette of diplomacy, said – no one’s intimidation will work

September 04, 2025

New Delhi. Russian President Vladimir Putin has bluntly told US President Donald Trump that you cannot talk to India and China like this. While teaching Trump the customs of international diplomacy and the etiquette of diplomacy, Putin said that Trump should not try to put pressure on India and China through tariffs and sanctions. He said, “You cannot talk to India or China like this.”

After attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and the military parade in China, Putin answered media questions with satisfaction for a long time. Putin accused the Trump administration of using economic pressure to weaken Asia’s two largest powers. Describing India and China as “partners”, Putin said that the US tariff system is an attempt to “weaken the leadership of these countries”.

… then his career will be over
The Russian President said, “When someone tells these countries that he is going to punish them, you have to think that the leadership of these big countries, which have had difficult times in their own history, which has been related to colonialism and their sovereignty. You have to understand that if these leaders show weakness in such a situation, then their political career will be over, this affects their behavior.” Giving a message to Washington, Putin said that the era of colonialism is over, they have to keep in mind that they cannot use such terms in their conversations with their partners.” He expressed hope that things will get better, problems will be solved and we will see a normal political dialogue.

No one will be bullied

In the same press conference, Putin said that in this world of multilateralism, no one will be bullied, everyone has equal rights. Putin said that in this new multilateral world, no one should be bullied. No one is talking about this, neither in BRICS, nor in SCO. In this multilateral world, everyone should have equal rights.

Pointing towards Trump, Putin said that there are economic giants like India or China. Our country is also in the top four economies on the basis of purchasing power. These are today’s realities. But this does not mean that one person should dominate global politics or global security. We believe that no one should dominate Putin’s comments came at a time when India is facing US sanctions for buying Russian oil, while China is still embroiled in a trade war with Washington.

Secondary sanctions for buying Russian oil
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump launched a double-edged attack on India, saying his administration has imposed secondary sanctions on India for continuing to buy Russian oil and hinted that more steps could be taken.

He claimed the move had already cost Moscow “hundreds of billions of dollars” and warned that “second and third phase” sanctions were still under consideration.

Trump further said his warning to India was clear. “Two weeks ago I said if India buys, it will have big problems and that’s what’s happening,” he said.
