Shajapur: Madhya Pradesh’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya made a controversial statement during an event in Shajapur. Without naming Rahul Gandhi, Vijayvargiya launched a scathing attack on the opposition leader. He said, “We are people of an ancient culture. In ancient times, people wouldn’t even drink water from their sisters’ villages, but today’s opposition leaders are so bold that they kiss their sisters at a crossroads.”
Vijayvargiya linked this to Indian culture and values, saying that the behavior we see today is influenced by foreign culture. India’s identity lies in our values and traditions. The country will progress with these values, not with foreign ways.”
Although Kailash Vijayvargiya didn’t name anyone, his reference to “Leader of the Opposition” is being linked to Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar and MLA Arun Bhimawad were also present on the stage when Kailash Vijayvargiya made this statement.
Congress Counterattack
Congress State President Jitu Patwari has countered Kailash Vijayvargiya’s statement. He said that Kailash Vijayvargiya made a statement, “These are the days of worship of Goddess Durga and Goddess Shakti. The entire country experiences the sacred bond of a brother and sister. However, Kailash Vijayvargiya’s thinking, language, and sentiments are unbearable in today’s society. He has insulted women and daughters 100 times regarding clothing, education, and language. This is his viewpoint on the sacred relationship of a brother and sister, and we are ashamed to even respond to it.”
