
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Tuesday delivered a significant gift to the state’s youth and employees. He announced that a uniform examination system will be implemented for all government recruitments in Madhya Pradesh. This examination will be conducted on the lines of the UPSC. The Chief Minister stated that currently, conducting recruitment examinations for different departments not only takes time but also delays employment opportunities. A unified examination system will now enable youth to access opportunities more quickly.
Dr. Yadav was speaking at the State Employees Union’s Diwali gathering in Bhopal. He stated that various employee-related demands in the state are being seriously addressed. The Chief Minister stated that there are over 20,000 vacant posts in the police department, and the target is to fill them within the next three years. He also announced that a personnel commission, headed by a retired senior officer, will be formed to address salary discrepancies and grade pay differences across various cadres.
The Chief Minister said that officers and employees should receive timely promotions. He stated that work in this direction is in the final stages and a solution will be found soon. Regarding dearness allowance, CM Yadav said that the state government is committed to providing the same allowance as the central government. The work of paying arrears in five equal installments has been completed by October.
He stated that the availability of government housing is being increased and Anganwadi workers and assistants are being provided the benefits of the Jeevan Jyoti Insurance Scheme. Additionally, 19,504 new recruitments are being made for these posts. The Chief Minister also stated that a committee has been formed to review the New Pension System (NPS) for employees appointed on or after January 1, 2005, and will submit its report soon.
Dr. Yadav stated that the payment of employees’ House Rent Allowance (HRA) was pending for nine years, which his government has completed. He said that the smiles on employees’ faces are our strength. They are the ones who implement government schemes. During the program, State Employees Union President Jitendra Singh presented a memorandum of demands to the Chief Minister. Key demands included equalizing the retirement age of employees, increasing dearness allowance, and determining the seniority of teachers from their appointment date.
