Amidst Donald Trump’s Formation of a Peace Board, Israel Launches Major Attack on Gaza, Killing 11 Palestinians

Cairo. Eleven Palestinians, including two children, were killed in Israeli army shelling in Gaza. This Israeli attack on Gaza comes at a time when US President Donald Trump has announced a “peace board” for a ceasefire, which will include Israel. This was announced by the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself.

Hospitals in war-torn Gaza reported that the Israeli army killed at least 11 Palestinians in Gaza on Wednesday, including two 13-year-old boys, three journalists, and a woman. It was claimed that this was one of the deadliest days in Gaza since the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel was implemented in October.

An official at the camp said that among the dead were three Palestinian journalists who were killed while reporting near a displacement camp in central Gaza. The Israeli army said the attack was carried out after it spotted suspects operating drones that posed a threat to its soldiers.

The two boys died in separate incidents. According to officials at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central city of Deir al-Balah, where the bodies were received, a 13-year-old boy, his father, and a 22-year-old man were targeted by an Israeli drone in the eastern part of the central Bureij refugee camp. It was not immediately clear whether the three had entered Israeli-controlled territories.

Israel Targets More Sites in Lebanon
The Israeli Air Force on Wednesday attacked targets in three villages in southern Lebanon that it said were part of the infrastructure of the militant Hezbollah group, including weapons storage facilities. These attacks followed warnings issued by the Israeli military to evacuate areas, including the southern village of Qana, just south of the port city of Sidon.

According to the state-run National News Agency, drone strikes in the villages of Bazouriyeh and Zahrani also targeted cars, killing two people. These attacks were the latest in a series of Israeli military actions that have occurred almost daily since a ceasefire more than a year ago ended the 14-month-long conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The agreement included a promise by Lebanon to disarm militant groups, which Israel says has not been fulfilled.
