Iran rocked by US attacks; railway bridge blown up, power supply disrupted in Chabahar…

President Trump had stated that the most destructive attack to date could be launched against Iran on Wednesday night. Now, the US military has launched an offensive against Iran, carrying out strikes in several areas, including Bandar Abbas and Sirik.

Loud explosions are being heard in both these areas. According to the Iranian news agency Mizan, loud blasts were heard in Sirik as well as Bandar Abbas. The Iranian news agency Mehr has also confirmed explosions in Bandar Abbas. A report by Mehr states that two fishermen were killed in the US attack on Iran on Wednesday.

According to Iran’s state-run Press TV, a total of 10 explosions occurred on Abu Musa Island. Ten explosions were also heard in Chabahar and Konarak. Debris from a weapon fired during the attack fell on a hospital in Chabahar, and the US strike damaged Shahid Beheshti Port, Kalantari Port, and the maritime traffic control tower. Eight explosions took place in Bandar Abbas and three in Sirik.

According to Press TV, two projectiles also landed in Bushehr, and multiple explosions occurred in Jask. US President Trump shared a photo on Truth Social showing flames rising in Chabahar following the attack. Sharing this image, he wrote that this is a response to the attack carried out by Iran on ships yesterday. He added a warning that if such an action were to occur again, the retaliation would be far more severe.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed the attacks. In a post on the social media platform X, CENTCOM stated that, acting on the President’s orders, US forces have resumed military action against Iran. The US military has said that these strikes are being conducted to further degrade Iran’s capability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
