New Delhi: A dramatic security operation involving US President Donald Trump reportedly unfolded during his departure from Turkey in July, after a potential threat linked to Iran prompted the Secret Service to make a last-minute change to his travel plans.

According to reports, Trump was secretly moved from his scheduled aircraft to a C-32A military plane, while the aircraft he was publicly seen boarding was used as a decoy. The operation was reportedly kept so tightly under wraps that even some White House personnel were unaware of the President’s actual flight arrangements.

Trump Arrived in Turkey With Future Air Force One

Trump had traveled to Ankara, Türkiye, for a NATO summit in July. His delegation included a new Boeing 747-8 aircraft acquired from Qatar, which is expected to eventually serve as the future Air Force One.

However, as Trump prepared to leave Türkiye for Britain, security officials reportedly made an unexpected change to the plan.

Trump was publicly seen boarding the older Air Force One. But according to reports, he was subsequently transferred to a different aircraft, with the movement concealed by a catering truck.

The C-32A then departed with Trump on board, while the older Air Force One followed the original departure plan. Both aircraft eventually landed in Britain only minutes apart.
