Congress MLA asked the government for proof on Operation Sindoor, said – it was just a show, where were the terrorists killed?

Bengaluru. Political rhetoric is intensifying regarding India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’. Karnataka Congress MLA Kothur Manjunath has expressed doubts on this military action and said that ‘it was just a show, it neither brought any justice nor real solace to the victims of the Pahalgam attack.’

Manjunath said in a bitter tone, ‘Nothing happened. Just for show, three-four planes were sent from above and called back. Will this bring justice to the 26-28 people killed in Pahalgam? Will the pain of those women be reduced in this way? Is this the way to respect them?’

Questions raised on government’s claims
After Operation Sindoor on May 7, the Indian government had claimed that 9 major terrorist launchpads were destroyed in Pakistan and about 100 terrorists were killed. But the opposition and now Congress MLA Manjunath are looking at this claim with suspicion.

Manjunath also raised doubts on the confirmation of the killing of the terrorists responsible for the attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley on April 22. He asked, ‘Is it known for sure that 100 terrorists were killed? What is their identity? Were they the same terrorists who attacked in Baisaran Valley on April 22?’

He said, ‘Is it confirmed that 100 terrorists were killed? Who were those terrorists who entered our border? What is their identity? Why was there no security on the border? How did they escape? We should identify and eliminate terrorism at its root, branches and trunk.’ He termed it a complete failure of the intelligence system.

‘News is not same, whom to trust?’ The MLA also raised questions on the media and said, ‘All TV channels are telling different stories. Some channel says killed here, some say killed there. No one is telling who was actually killed, where was killed, how many were killed. No clear statement came from the government.’ He also said that it was a big intelligence failure and until the roots of terrorism are destroyed, the solution is not possible. Opposing any kind of war against civilians, Manjunath said, ‘We are against war against civilians, be it Karnataka, Pakistan, China or Bangladesh. Do you know how those women’s husbands were killed in front of them? This action cannot erase their grief, it is not a solution.’ India’s answer: Only terrorists were killed, not civilians The Indian government is constantly saying that only terrorist hideouts were attacked, there was no harm to the common citizens. The action was taken in response to drone attacks from Pakistan and the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 25 Indians and 1 Nepali civilian were killed.
