ED team raiding former Chief Minister’s house attacked, supporters threw bricks and stones

Bhilai: ED team has been attacked in Bhilai city of Chhattisgarh. This attack took place when the officer was leaving the house of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. During the raid, his supporters were seen protesting. When the team started coming out after the raid, people attacked them.

ED sources said that the investigating agency can also register an FIR in this matter. It is being told that the ED team has been attacked with bricks and stones. However, till the time of writing the news in this attack, information about the possible injured has not been revealed.

It is being said that a big stone was thrown in front and behind the ED vehicle. A stone was thrown at the ED vehicle when an officer was leaving the Baghel residence. Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate raided his (former Chief Minister’s) premises as part of the money laundering investigation against Bhupesh Baghel’s son in the alleged liquor scam case.

Sources said the premises of Bhupesh Baghel’s son Chaitanya Baghel in Bhilai (Durg district), Chaitanya’s alleged close associate Laxmi Narayan Bansal alias Pappu Bansal and some others are also being searched under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
