Balaghat: An encounter took place between the police and Naxalites in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, in which 4 Naxalites, including 3 female Naxalites, were killed. This encounter took place in the Raunda forest of Gadhi police station area, which is a Naxal-affected area. The police also recovered many weapons and other materials from the Naxalites in this encounter. This action of the police is being considered a big success.
It is being told that the police and Hawk Force personnel were searching in the dense forests of Raunda. Suddenly, the Naxalites ambushed and started firing on the police party. The soldiers immediately retaliated, in which four Naxalites were killed. An INSAS rifle, an SLR rifle and a 303 rifle, along with many items of daily use were recovered from the killed Naxalites.
During the encounter, other Naxalites were also injured, who fled taking advantage of the dense forest. The police started an extensive search operation in the forest to search for the injured Naxalites. The police involved teams of Hawk Force, CRPF, Cobra Commando and District Force in this operation. In total, more than 12 teams are conducting intensive search operations to nab the escaped Naxalites.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated the police on this success and said, “The Madhya Pradesh government will soon completely wipe out Naxalites from Naxal-affected areas. Naxalism will be completely eradicated from the Naxal-affected districts of the state by 2026.”
On the other hand, as soon as the information about the encounter was received, top police officials reached the spot and took stock of the situation. He said that many Naxalites are likely to be injured during this operation, but it is challenging to catch them due to dense forest.
This encounter reflects the increasing strength of the police in Balaghat district and the campaign being run against the Naxalites. The police have recovered the bodies of the killed female Naxalites and have started the investigation process to identify them. After the encounter, the police said that this action would send a message to the Naxalites that their terror is now coming to an end.
