New Delhi: Today is the day of counting of votes in Delhi. Counting of votes is going on. Initial trends are coming in favour of BJP. According to the data so far, BJP is leading on 32 seats while AAP has managed to gain lead on only 14 seats. Amidst the counting of votes, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has targeted Congress and AAP by tweeting.
Sharing a scene from the serial ‘Mahabharat’ on social media platform X, Omar Abdullah wrote only this, ‘Fight more among yourselves!’… It is clear that he is pointing at the decision of Congress and AAP to contest elections separately in Delhi.
‘India’ block does not work in assembly elections
Congress and AAP are part of India block at the center but this alliance does not work in assembly elections. First in Haryana and then in Delhi, Congress and AAP contested against each other and BJP benefited in both the places.
Exit polls seem to be proving correct
Voting was held in Delhi on 5th February. Exit polls released before the results had said that this time Delhi is not far for BJP i.e. exit polls had said that BJP will get majority. Exit polls seem to be proving correct in the initial trends.
