I leave Bangladesh to PM Modi…said Donald Trump

  • February 14, 2025

Washington DC. President Donald Trump has said something big in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a US tour. On the political upheaval going on in India’s neighbour Bangladesh, Trump has said that the American deep state has no role in Bangladesh. He stressed that PM Modi will take care of Bangladesh.

US President Donald Trump was asked a question on the change of power in Bangladesh. A journalist asked Trump, “What would you like to say about Bangladesh, because we saw and it is clearly visible how America’s deep state was working there during the Biden administration? Then Mohammad Yunus Jr also met Soros. What would you like to say about Bangladesh in the whole context?

In response to this question, President Donald Trump said that our deep state has no role there.

Trump clarified his point and said, “Look… our deep state has no role. This is an issue on which the Prime Minister has been working for a long time and has worked on it for many years… I am reading about it. I now leave Bangladesh in the hands of the Prime Minister.” When President Trump said this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sitting next to him. Let us tell you that last month, the Chief of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus, had talked to Alex Soros in Dhaka. Alex Soros had described Mohammad Yunus as a champion of human rights. Alex Soros is the son of George Soros and is the chairman of his wealthy NGO The Open Society Foundation. George Soros is accused of bringing about a change of power in Bangladesh. But Donald Trump is following a strict foreign policy regarding Bangladesh. As soon as he came to power, he has stopped the American aid to Bangladesh through USAID. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also talked to President Trump about the developments in Bangladesh. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has given information about this discussion. Vikram Misri said that Prime Minister Modi shared his views and or rather his concerns regarding the recent developments in Bangladesh and how India views this entire situation. I think we hope that the situation in Bangladesh will also move in a direction where we can move forward with them in a constructive and stable way, but there are concerns about that situation, and the Prime Minister shared those views with the President.
