Iran’s ‘True Promise 3’ in response to Israel’s ‘Operation Rising Lion’

New Delhi. The war between Israel and Iran has increased tensions in West Asia tremendously. Israel continued airstrikes on Iran for the second consecutive day. Netanyahu’s army is continuously attacking Iran’s nuclear bases. Israel fired missiles in quick succession late Friday night. Iran also fired more than a dozen missiles on Israel in retaliation.

The Israeli army carried out the first attack on Iran on the morning of June 13. It was named Operation Rising Lion. Under this operation, Israel attacked more than 100 Iranian bases with more than 200 fighter jets. Most of these were Iran’s nuclear and military bases. Top officials like Iran’s Revolutionary Guards chief Hussein Salami, Iranian Army Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s close aide Ali Shamkhani and IRGC Air Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh were also killed in the attacks. In such a situation, Iran is also engaged in retaliatory attacks.

Amidst these attacks by Iran, the Israeli army said that Iran has again started missile attacks. Due to Iran’s missiles, sirens are constantly ringing and people are taking refuge in bunkers in northern Israel. People have been appealed to go to bomb shelters.

According to Iranian media reports, Israel has also launched a missile attack on Iran’s city of Isfahan. Israel claims that this attack was done to stop Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons because Iran is now accumulating enough uranium to make a nuclear bomb. The Israeli IDF used 200 to 300 fighter jets to attack four nuclear and two military bases of Iran. So far 78 people have been killed and more than 350 injured in Israeli attacks.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that this operation will continue until Israel’s security is ensured.

Iran’s True Promise 3 in response to Israel’s Operation Rising Lion

In response to Israeli attacks, Iran launched the ‘True Promise 3’ military operation on Friday night. Under this, Iran fired more than 150 ballistic missiles towards Israel, out of which 6 missiles fell in the capital Tel Aviv, killing a woman. At the same time, 63 people were injured. Iranian media reports also claimed to have targeted the Israeli Defense Ministry.

In view of the current situation, Iran has closed its airspace and imposed a state of emergency across the country. The Israeli Defense Force claims that their air defense system destroyed most of Iran’s drones and missiles. Iran demanded an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council and termed the Israeli attacks as aggressive military action.

Earlier, Iran attacked Israel in April 2024 under Operation ‘True Promise 1’. This attack was launched in response to the attack on the Iranian Consulate in Syria on April 1, 2024. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards fired hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel in this operation. After this, Israel was attacked in October 2024 under ‘True Promise 2’. This operation was launched in response to the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and attacks on Iran’s military bases.

Fierce airstrikes continued from both sides throughout the night
Many media reports have claimed that Israel and Iran have now made up their minds. Attacks continued between the two countries throughout the night.

Israel carried out repeated airstrikes in Tehran and other cities, while Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks. Millions of people in Israel have taken refuge in bunkers as sirens are constantly sounding across the country due to missile attacks. In Iran too, citizens have been instructed to move to safer places. So far 78 people have died and 329 people have been injured in Iran in Israeli attacks.
