Registration for Shri Amarnath Yatra Begins Today at 556 Branches of These Banks

Jammu: Advance registration for the Shri Amarnath Yatra is set to commence on Wednesday. Registration will be available at 556 designated branches across the country belonging to Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, and Yes Bank. An online registration facility will also be available on the Board’s official website and mobile app.

According to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, registration will be conducted on a “first-come, first-served” basis, and a daily quota will be fixed for pilgrims traveling via the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Devotees aged between 13 and 70 years will be eligible to undertake the pilgrimage. Pregnant women who are more than six weeks into their pregnancy will not be permitted to undertake the journey.

Registration will be carried out through Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, and permits will be issued online. Devotees will be required to submit a valid health certificate issued by authorized medical institutions. The Yatra permit will specify the selected route (Baltal or Pahalgam) and the date of the pilgrimage.

Yatra Registration to Take Place at Eight Locations in Jammu
Online registration for the Shri Amarnath Yatra will begin on Wednesday. Residents will be able to register for the pilgrimage at eight designated locations within the city. Help desks have been established at the bank branches to assist devotees. In Jammu city, registration facilities are available at the J&K Bank branches located at Bakshi Nagar, Residency Road, Akhnoor Road, Gandhi Nagar (Gol Market), and Channi Himmat; as well as at the SBI branch in Hari Market. In Kishtwar: JK Bank at Shaheen Complex (near the Bus Stand); JK Bank on Om Mehta Road.
In Poonch: JK Bank in the Main Market (near Gurudwara Singh Sabha).
In Ramban: JK Bank in the Main Market; JK Bank and SBI located opposite the Batote Police Station.
In Rajouri: JK Bank in the Main Market; JK Bank in the Sundarbani Main Market.
