Bhopal: After Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Madhya Pradesh for the first time. Where he attended a huge women’s conference organized on the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar at Jamburi Maidan in the capital Bhopal. A wonderful confluence of tradition, culture and women power of Madhya Pradesh was seen in this event.
The Prime Minister was given a grand welcome in traditional style in the program. In this program, women arrived to welcome the Prime Minister in traditional attire like Sindoori and Maheshwari saree and army-like uniform. This program was completely organized under the leadership of women, all the arrangements of which were handled by women volunteers. On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav and Governor Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel welcomed the Prime Minister by making him wear a traditional turban and honored him by presenting a memento.
Prime Minister Modi released a commemorative coin of ₹ 300 on this special occasion. This 35 gram coin is made of 50% silver, which bears the picture of Goddess Ahilyabai and 1725–2025. Along with this, a special postage stamp was also issued in memory of Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar. The Prime Minister presented the National Devi Ahilyabai Award to a female artist who contributed to traditional art.
At the same time, the Prime Minister also met inspirational women like ‘Drone Didi’ Kavita Chauhan and ‘Lakhpati Didi’, who have played an important role in making women self-reliant in rural areas. These meetings further strengthened the government’s commitment towards women empowerment.
During the program, the Prime Minister virtually inaugurated the first corridor of Indore Metro. This corridor is about 6 km long and will have 5 stations, which is expected to reduce the problem of traffic and pollution in Indore. Apart from this, the Prime Minister virtually inaugurated Satna and Datia airports. Datia Airport has cost ₹70 crore, from where flights to Bhopal and Khajuraho will start.
Virtual Bhoomi Pujan done
At the same time, as part of the preparations for the Simhastha Mahaparva of 2028 in Ujjain, the Prime Minister also performed virtual Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of 29 km long ghats, barrage worth Rs 83.39 crore, stop dam and vented causeway to be built at a cost of Rs 778.91 crore. This will maintain water flow in Kshipra and Kanh rivers.
PM paid tribute
During the program, the Prime Minister paid tribute to Devi Ahilyabai Holkar during his address and said that her life shows that any change is possible with determination and willpower. He also said that Devi Ahilyabai not only administered the state efficiently, but also revived the cultural heritage of India by rebuilding many important temples like Kashi Vishwanath.
Praise for women soldiers
The Prime Minister praised General Sofia Qureshi and Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh for the bravery of women soldiers in ‘Operation Sindoor’. He said that women are playing a leading role in every field today. Be it home, war zone or the field of science and technology. At the same time, he has again warned Pakistan. He said that ‘we will enter the house and kill, bullets will be answered with shells’.
