Use Petrol, Diesel, and Gas Judiciously: PM Modi Appeals to the Public

New Delhi: While addressing the public in Hyderabad, Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed for the judicious use of petrol, diesel, and gas. Speaking on Sunday, he stated that, in light of the crisis in West Asia, the prudent use of petroleum products is currently the need of the hour. The Prime Minister digitally laid the foundation stones for and inaugurated development projects worth approximately ₹9,400 crore in Telangana. During the event held in Hyderabad, he emphasized that imported petroleum products should be utilized strictly according to necessity, as this would not only conserve foreign exchange but also help mitigate the adverse effects of the ongoing conflict.

The Prime Minister noted that, over the past few years, India has emerged as one of the leading nations globally in the field of solar energy, and unprecedented progress has been made in the blending of ethanol with petrol. Modi stated that while the government was previously focused on achieving 100% LPG coverage, its current focus has shifted to ensuring the affordable supply of gas through pipelines, alongside promoting the usage of CNG. He added that, thanks to these collective efforts, India is effectively navigating the major global energy crisis currently unfolding across the world.

An Appeal to Join Hands with Revanth Reddy
During the event, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy remarked that politics should not interfere with development initiatives. Responding to this, Modi affirmed that he, too, would refrain from engaging in political discourse. He said, “I wish to say this to Revanth-ji: I am prepared to provide you with exactly as much assistance as the Centre provided to Gujarat over the last ten years. However—and I say this based on my understanding of the situation—if I were to do that, the resources you are currently receiving would be cut in half. You would not be able to reach the developmental milestones you aspire to achieve.

Therefore, it would be far better for you to join hands with me.” Modi asserted that, in a democracy, the existence of governments led by different political parties is not inherently wrong, and that the development of individual states is just as crucial as the development of the nation as a whole. He emphasized that national development is impossible without the development of its states, and that collective efforts are indispensable to realize the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India by 2047). Telangana’s Rail Network Doubles
The Prime Minister stated that rapid reforms are taking place across the country and that modern infrastructure is being developed. Modi noted that over the past 11 years, the National Highway network in Telangana has doubled. Referring to the previous United Progressive Alliance government, he pointed out that prior to 2014, the railway budget for undivided Andhra Pradesh was less than ₹1,000 crore. Now, the railway budget for Telangana alone stands at ₹5,500 crore. He added that railway projects worth approximately ₹50,000 crore are currently underway in Telangana.
