
New Delhi. The Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit 2026 is set to begin in India on Monday. It is considered the first and largest AI summit in the Global South. This summit will provide a global platform to shape the future of inclusive, responsible, and empowering AI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 on February 16, 2026, at 5 p.m. at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
More than 300 exhibitions will be included
The AI Impact Expo 2026 will feature more than 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations. These will be presented based on three themes: People, Planet, and Progress.
Over 600 High-Power Startups to Participate
The expo will feature over 600 high-powered startups and pavilions from 13 countries showcasing international collaborations in the AI ecosystem.
Road Safety to Be Discussed on Day 1
The first day of the summit, which will begin at the India Pavilion in Delhi on February 16th, will focus on AI for road safety in India.
The first session on Day 1 will discuss how AI can bring measurable improvements to road safety in India. Experts from the Ministry of Transport, IITs, and various sectors will participate.
The session will focus on data-driven approaches to understanding accident patterns, predicting risk, and enabling proactive intervention.
Scalable AI applications supporting safe mobility, driver training, data-driven hyperlocal models, and technology-driven impact for the public good will also be discussed.
The use of AI will be considered today.
The first day will also feature a discussion on leadership, which will consider the use of AI for learning and the future of work. This session will analyze how AI is changing the global employment landscape.
The session will also discuss how AI can perform predictive analytics for informed decision-making, automate case management, support legal research and virtual courts, thereby accelerating case resolution, reducing backlogs, and improving access to justice.
Employment in the Age of AI will be discussed.
The future of employment in the age of AI is also a key topic on the first day. Experts will discuss how AI will create new employment opportunities and replace many existing jobs, requiring widespread skill upgrading.
AI for Smart and Empowered Agriculture
A special session will be held on the topic, “From Research to Solutions.” This session will bring together diverse perspectives to explore how AI can support sustainable, efficient, and climate-sensitive agriculture.
The summit builds on extensive preparation, including a five-stage public consultation process and global outreach sessions held in Paris, Berlin, Oslo, New York, Geneva, Bangkok, and Tokyo.
