Hormuz Crossed, But 8 Iranian Ships Fail to Cross Trump’s ‘Red Line’

Eight Iranian oil tankers successfully navigated the waves of the Strait of Hormuz, yet they failed to cross the ‘Red Line’ drawn by President Donald Trump. According to Cooper, within just 36 hours of the blockade being implemented, Iran’s seaborne trade was brought to a complete halt. He further noted that approximately 90 percent of Iran’s economy relies on international maritime trade; consequently, this action has had a direct impact on its economic activities.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his firm stance regarding Iran’s nuclear program. He asserted that the possession of a nuclear bomb by Iran is unacceptable. Trump also clarified that, for the time being, he is not considering extending the ceasefire. Currently, U.S. activity has intensified in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman.
