New Delhi: A day before the assembly elections in Delhi, the ruckus continued till late night in Kalkaji assembly constituency. Political parties have accused each other of assault and distribution of cash. Amidst the ruckus, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi reached Govindpuri police station at midnight.
Atishi has given a complaint to the police in which she has accused BJP workers of threatening the slum dwellers of Delhi. Delhi Police is investigating the matter. According to the information, Delhi Police has registered two cases. Both the cases are related to violation of code of conduct.
One of these cases has been registered against CM Atishi. Atishi is accused of reaching Fateh Singh Marg with her 50-60 supporters in 10 vehicles. When the police asked her to leave from there citing the code of conduct, she refused.
A case has been registered against Atishi on the complaint of the Election Commission. The second case has been registered against Atishi’s supporters. This case has been registered for obstructing government work and attacking the police.
In a video, Atishi’s supporter Sagar Mehta can be seen slapping a policeman. It is seen in the video that the policeman was making a video. Then Sagar, one of the two boys living with Atishi, slapped the policeman who was making the video.
At the same time, action has been taken against Ramesh Bidhuri’s nephew Manish Bidhuri under the Representation of People Act. There was talk of suspicious items in a car but nothing was found in it.
