Lucknow: Guddu Muslim, a close aide of Atiq Ahmed and wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case, carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh, has fled India with the help of a fake passport. According to sources, he flew from Kolkata airport to Dubai in December 2023. Sources say that Guddu Muslim got a fake passport made in the name of Syed Wasimuddin and reached Dubai from Kolkata by Etihad Airlines.
Investigation has revealed that Guddu Muslim had got a fake passport made with the help of a leather trader close to Atiq Ahmed in Kolkata by dodging the UP Police and STF. Central agencies have informed the UP Police in this regard. It is being told that he easily passed the immigration check from Kolkata airport and went to Dubai.
Guddu Muslim is one of the main accused in the Umesh Pal murder case in Prayagraj in February 2023. He was absconding since this murder. The UP police was looking for him for several months, but now the news of his absconding to Dubai has come to the fore.
After the absconding of Guddu Muslim, the suspicion of Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen leaving the country through a fake passport is also deepening. A relative recently arrested by the Prayagraj Police had revealed that he had met Shaista in Delhi.
Central agencies and UP Police are now investigating the matter in depth. In this case, the investigation of Kolkata Airport and the fake passport making network has been intensified. UP Police is now keeping a close watch on Shaista as well. Police and central agencies are now investigating this matter from every angle.
On 24 February 2023, Umesh Pal and his two government gunmen were murdered in Prayagraj, CCTV footage of this incident had surfaced. Guddu Muslim had attacked Umesh and his gunner Raghavendra Singh with a bomb. Mafia Atiq Ahmed’s shooter Guddu Muslim is absconding since the Umesh Pal murder case. The police has announced a reward on Guddu Muslim. He has not been traced since the incident.
