Bhopal. There is political turmoil across the country regarding the controversial statement of Minister Vijay Shah in the Madhya Pradesh Government. The opposition and senior BJP leader Uma Bharti have also become vocal against him and are demanding his resignation. But amid this controversy, now Minister Vijay Shah has got support from his colleague in the cabinet. Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing Department Pratima Bagri has said that Vijay Shah’s intention was not to insult anyone.
Speaking to reporters in Dindori, Pratima Bagri said that the words spoken by Vijay Shah were definitely inappropriate, but he has given an explanation for it and has also apologized. Pratima Bagri said that there has definitely been manipulation of words but it does not seem that Vijay Shah’s intention was to insult. At the same time, he has clearly said that he is ready to apologize again and again. This shows that the meaning of what he said was not what was told.
He said that Vijay Shah’s statement was presented in a wrong way and it has been shown in the wrong direction. This statement of Pratima Bagri has come at a time when the opposition is constantly putting pressure on the BJP.
Uma Bharti also demanded resignation
Despite the public apology by Vijay Shah, the matter has not calmed down yet. Now it remains to be seen what stand the party takes on this controversy and what decision it takes next.
