Bhojshala Friday Passes Peacefully: Hanuman Chalisa Recited as Namaz Held at Designated Site Amid Tight Security

Dhar: Religious observances by both communities were conducted peacefully on Friday at the historic Bhojshala in Dhar amid tight security arrangements. Extensive preparations by the district administration ensured that the situation remained calm and harmonious throughout the city.

Following rainfall last Friday, the ground at Khasra No. 612, the designated site for Friday prayers, had become muddy. To facilitate better arrangements, the administration had suggested that the Muslim community shift to the nearby Khasra No. 613 site.

However, the community declined the proposal and chose to offer prayers at the originally designated location. Subsequently, the administration made arrangements at Khasra No. 612. The municipal authorities laid crushed stone and leveled the pathway, allowing members of the Muslim community to offer Friday prayers at the designated site.

At the same time, religious activities organized by the Hindu community were held inside the Bhojshala complex as scheduled. After worshipping a portrait of Goddess Vagdevi, members of the Hindu community collectively recited the Hanuman Chalisa.

The district administration remained on high alert throughout the proceedings to prevent any untoward incident and maintain law and order. According to SP Sachin Sharma, around 1,000 police personnel were deployed inside the Bhojshala complex and in surrounding sensitive areas as part of the extensive security arrangements.

Police also barricaded and closed the Bisleri Marg, restricting movement around the Bhojshala premises. Security personnel closely monitored the area throughout the religious proceedings.

Supreme Court Hearing in Bhojshala Case Awaited
Meanwhile, a hearing on four petitions filed by the Muslim side in connection with the Bhojshala dispute had been scheduled for August 5 before a Supreme Court bench comprising Justices Sanjay Kumar and Sanjeev Sachdeva. However, the matter could not be heard on the scheduled date.

The next date of hearing is yet to be announced
With heightened security and extensive administrative arrangements in place, Friday’s religious observances by both communities concluded peacefully without any major incident.
